EcoAdventures Margaret River: Electric Quad Bikes for Everyone

When we designed the world’s first electric quad bike, we wanted to make sure that it was accessible to everyone, including people with mobility issues. That’s why we situated all of the major controls on the handlebars, making it legal for paraplegics (or “Wheelies,” as they call themselves) with a discretionary driver’s license to drive themselves around the park.

We’ve hosted many Wheelies at EcoAdventures, and we’ve received some incredibly gratifying feedback from our guests. One of our participants summed up his experience perfectly:

“That is the best thing I’ve done in a long time. I broke my back in an industrial accident nine years ago. It’s great because when I was on the bike, I looked like everyone else, and no one could tell I was carrying a disability. Secondly, no one had to assist me or help me in any way. I could drive myself around the route. Thirdly, there are few activities that give me such a sense of fun and freedom.”

In addition to paraplegics, we’ve also hosted people with a variety of other mobility issues, including MND, MS, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, autism, rheumatoid arthritis, and obesity. Our electric quad bikes have made it possible for them to participate in activities with their families that they would otherwise have been denied.

We’re incredibly proud of the fact that our electric quad bikes are helping people with mobility issues to enjoy the outdoors and experience the freedom of driving themselves. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in activities that they enjoy, regardless of their physical abilities.

If you or someone you know has a mobility issue, we encourage you to contact us to learn more about our electric quad bikes.
