Ecoadventures Margaret River have been at the forefront of environmental protection since its inception in 2015. Drawing on all our knowledge and expertise we designed and built the world’s first electric ATV or quad bike so that we could show people the wonders of the Boranup Forest in an environmentally sensitive manner which has never been achieved before.
Our slow guided tours ride on soft low pressure tyres which have a footprint of one third less of the impact of an 80kg man carrying a 10kg backpack.
After being in operation for more than 10 years we have demonstrated that our impact upon the forest tracks and trails are only positive in their outcome. We are very pleased that the other stakeholders who resisted our presence in the forest are now our biggest supporters. These include horse riders, mountain bikers and walkers who now enjoy the benefits of clear flat trails which were previously denied to them. That fact being witnessed by our trails now being included in the Cape to Cape MTB.
The fact that we have no infrastructure in the park and arrive and setup, cleanup and depart only in one day leaves no trace of our existence except tyre tracks. Our smooth and virtually silent electric ATV’s cause no disruption to other park users and leave no emissions.
Ecoadventures Margaret River are continually striving to achieve current admission standards and are constantly improving operations which is why we are pleased to support the Quality Tourism Framework initiative for Tourism Reduction Commitment.
Ecoadventures latest improvement is to construct a solar array that’s harnessing the power of the sun to recharge our ATV bikes which will enable us to offer our guests the opportunity to ride courtesy of the power of the sun.
